Hi, I’m Kiyana, but you can call me Kay! I’m a wife, mom of four, and the girl behind Simply Kay Photography, formerly known as Kay Beckner Photography. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually with my kids, running to practices and games, or keeping up with the everyday chaos of having four little ones. Our life is busy, loud, and rarely picture perfect, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My love for photography started long before Simply Kay. I’ve been taking pictures since I was a little girl, and I can even remember going to our own family photo sessions and trying to pose everyone for the photographer. As I got older, I was always the one taking pictures with our family camera or my old iPhone. Looking back, I guess the signs were always there!
Before turning photography into my career, I spent seven years working as a CNA while raising my family. I officially started Kay Beckner Photography in 2025, and in 2026 I took the leap, went full time, and rebranded to Simply Kay Photography.
They say to find your niche, but that’s pretty hard when every session brings me a different kind of joy. Families, newborns, seniors, couples, milestones, branding, weddings, and everything in between—I genuinely love getting to capture it all. Every story is different, and that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Being a mom has shaped the way I photograph, too. I know life doesn’t always go according to plan and kids definitely won’t always sit still. I keep things relaxed, let you be yourselves, and capture the moments that make this season of your life yours.

We looked at quite a few galleries and were frankly a bit picky about what we wanted in terms of style and then we stumbled across this page and found her.
She made us feel so comfortable when we are both awkward about having our picture taken. She had great pose suggestions and ideas so we didn't have to try to think of what to do. She was very kind and thoughtful the whole time. She even walked into the brush to get some of the photos.
She returned the full photos very, very quickly and gave us sample photos two days after the shoot before that.
Just love her style. We love the pictures. She really captured our magical moment. She's such a steal.
